Viva Las Vegas est probablement le plus grand festival de Rockabilly des USA, ce cd compile des artistes qui ont participé à la  5 eme édition en 2002. Nous trouvons le pionnier Jack Earls avec l'excellent rockabilly My little mama, The Top hands interprettent Loves gets in the way (un médium rockabilly) et Real Gone baby (un médium rockabilly teinté de jazz), The Nu Niles interprettent Rock-a-duba (un rockabilly authentique bien sauvage) et I can't go back home (un médium rockabilly avec une mélodie proche de Baby trying to get to you d'Elvis chez Sun) , Ramblin James and the Billyboppers interprettent Heart ain't havin' a ball (un splendide Rockabilly), Ashley Kingman & the Smokin' band  interprettent Strollin' with Mary-jane (un instrumental rck n'roll avec influence surf),Smith's Ranch boys interprettent Romp and stomp (un hillbilly rock) et Just Because (une trés originale version du rock d'Elvis Presley dan sun style Hillbilly), The Extraordinaires interprettent Rock with you (un doo wop excellent), Smokestack Lightnin' interprette Soulbeat (un country rock moderne) et Don't think twice it's alright (une ballade country dans le style de Sea of Heartbreack), Six String Eric and the Lazy Ranch Hands interprettent Keep Knocking (une incroyable version western swing du rock ravageur de Little Richard) et Bare back boogie (un western swing boogie), Littl Boy Arnold interprette I gotta go (un rockabilly rapide) et It take times (un rockabilly médium),  Big Daddy Alright interrette Poor me a drink (un jump blues de style 1950's), The Stumbleweeds interprettent Heart of fire (un hillbilly rockabilly féminin rapide), Ruby Ann and the Boppin Boozers interprettent le génial médium rockabilly I hear you talkin', Sonny Rogers interprette Honky tonkin' (un rockabilly rapide) et Straight a's in love (un rockabilly inspiré par le style de Johnny Cash), The Lustre Kings intreprettent 1,2,3 Hang up (un jump rock au style moderne), Lil' Luis Y Los Wild Teens interprettent Baby, baby, baby (un white rock avec sax hurleur), Hi Voltage reprennent le rockabilly 1950's des Stoltz Brothers Rock n'roll riot et un des blue beau rockabilly de Buddy Holly Blue Days, black knights, Charlie Thompson and the Emeralds interprette Treat me right (un white rock avec bonne mélodie) et  Juke box pearl (est un jump rock n'roll teinté de western swing dans le style des faces début 1950's de Bill Haley), et Crosstown 7 interprette That mellow Saxophone (version jive à la Louis Jordan du Rhythm  & Blues fifties de Roy Montrell) et All night long (version jump du classique de Joe Houston). Comme la compilation du Viva Las Vegas 4 que du bon voir du trés bon.
